The Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca is a special and unique place with a beautiful climate, fantastic scenery and a rich cultural heritage. Situated in south-east Spain on the Mediterranean, it has long been a popular holiday destination and choice for permanent living.
With bustling resorts, elegant cities, rustic fishing villages, golden beaches and tranquil countryside it really has got something for everyone. Try a day in Alicante, one of Spain's great cosmopolitan cities where you can shop 'til you drop, party all night or chill out on the many beaches. Elche, another fabulous city, known as the city of the palms owing to the abundance of palm trees surrounding it is famous for its leather goods and ancient monuments. Santa Pola, La Marina, Guardamar Del Segura, Torrevieja and Torre de la Horadada are all coastal locations offering differing facilities to suit all tastes.
An increasingly popular area is our inland Vega Baja, a succession of very typical Spanish towns and villages famous for their 'huertas', fruit and vegetable orchards, from where many UK supermarkets are supplied. Here, and in the mountains, we have an amazing choice of properties for sale where you can choose from typical Spanish country houses or town houses, some requiring complete renovation, others completely restored or how about a brand new finca style property, typically sitting in around 1000 square metres - the choice is yours.
The climate is fabulous with warm summers with typical highs of 30°C, mild winters and over 300 days of sunshine per year. The salt lagoons that dot the coast draw moisture from the air, creating a unique dry microclimate particularly beneficial to people suffering from rheumatism and arthritis.
The average yearly temperature is around 20°C and this sunny, dry weather means you can enjoy the beaches, golf and idyllic Spanish lifestyle all year round.
With the two international airports at Alicante and San Javier (Murcia) and only two and a half hours flying time from the UK, cheap flights from most major cities, the Costa Blanca is easily accessible and perfect, even for a weekend break.
After purchasing a property here you'll suddenly find you are a whole lot more popular with friends and family, all looking to escape to the sun for a while!
